It applies to this website, our enquiry and quotation processes, and all other dealings we have with clients, suppliers, contractors and job applicants.

Personal Information We Collect

We may also collect information from trade referees, publicly available sources, or your professional advisers where it is unreasonable or impracticable to collect it only from you.
Where it is lawful and practicable, you may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym — for example, for general enquiries about our services. However, we will generally need your name and site address before we can prepare a quotation or carry out building work.
Why We Hold Personal Information
We collect, hold and use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and prepare and issue quotations;
- plan, manage and deliver construction and building services;
- engage and manage subcontractors, suppliers and consultants;
- issue invoices, manage accounts and recover amounts owed;
- meet our work health and safety, building, licensing and record-keeping obligations under Western Australian and Commonwealth law;
- assess employment and subcontractor applications; and
- send you information about our services, but only where you have consented or would reasonably expect it. You may opt out at any time by emailing ceo@batchconstruction.site.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose personal information to:
- our employees, subcontractors and consultants engaged to work on your project (such as engineers, surveyors and building certifiers);
- suppliers and delivery services as required to complete works;
- our professional advisers, including accountants, insurers and solicitors;
- payment and banking providers for processing transactions; and
- government bodies, regulators and local councils where required or authorised by Australian law.
Overseas Disclosure
Some of our IT and cloud service providers may store or process personal information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient handles your personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Security and Retention
We hold personal information in electronic and physical records protected by reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. Access to personal information is limited to people who need it to perform their duties. We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy — generally seven years for financial and contractual records, consistent with Australian law — after which it is securely destroyed or de-identified.

There is no charge to make a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee for providing a copy of the information. In limited circumstances permitted by the APPs, we may refuse access and will explain why in writing.
Making a Privacy Complaint
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please email ceo@batchconstruction.site with the details of your concern. We will investigate and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version will always be published on this page, together with the date it was last updated.
